The Full Story

Welcome to AMR Sailing Solutions! My name is Arthit Mikhail Romanyk, but most people know me as Miki. I am proud to be a Thai-Australian Olympian who represented Thailand in the ILCA 7 sailing class at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With over 13 years of experience racing single-handed dinghies, I’ve dedicated my life to mastering the art of sailing and inspiring others to unlock their potential on the water. It was my dream to reach the Olympics in Paris 2024 and I look forward to going again for LA 2028. With the lessons learnt along the way I want to be able to share my love and knowledge to all to be able to grow our big sailing family.

I am deeply curious about the development of the sport of sailing and always eager to tackle new challenges. As an engineer and data-driven individual, I believe the future of the sport lies in precision and informed decision-making. I’m constantly exploring ways to collect and analyze data, seeking the best solutions that can benefit future generations of sailors.

I am passionate about making sailing more accessible to those who may not have access to high-level coaching or resources. My journey began at a small sailing club, and I want to ensure that others, especially those who lack opportunities, can unlock their potential and thrive in the sport.

Communication is one of my strengths. I adapt easily to different situations and connect with people who share a desire to explore the beauty of sailing. Whether it's helping others take their sailing to the next level or learning from my own experiences, I believe that growth comes from collaboration and shared knowledge. While I’ve had the privilege of competing in the Olympics, I know that the sport is about much more than that. It's about supporting and growing the sailing community, and this ethos is central to my current projects.

The three places I hold most dear—Thailand, Sydney, and France—are not only integral to my journey but also serve as the foundation for my future goals. Thailand is my heart and home, and I’m committed to developing Asian sailing and providing more opportunities for Asian sailors to excel. Sydney, a place where sailing is deeply ingrained in the culture, has shaped me into the person I am today. It’s a city that continuously produces world-class champions. And France especially in Hyeres, the mecca of sailing, provides the competitive environment and facilities needed to push the boundaries of the sport.

As I continue to grow, I aim to use my experiences to give back to the sport, empower others, and pave the way for the next generation of sailors.
